Novemeber’s home sales totaled 603 at the mid-month count. That’s up 5.4% from November last year. The 11-month trend is up 2.2% from the same period last year.
The National Association of Realtors (NAR) sales outlook for 2026 is a 14% improvement from 2025.
The forecasts is a significant rebound for the 2026 housing market, and is expected to be driven by increased job and income growth, inventory, better affordability, and a potential easing of mortgage rates by the Federal Reserve.
The Northeast Tennessee Association of Realtors (NETA) current growth trend is outperfroming U.S. sales growth. Whether that will continue or not is largely dependent on the region’s job and income growth in the coming year.
NETAR’s Nov. home sales followed its sales pattern with homes in the move-up price bands dominating the percentage of sales. Homes in the affordability range accounted for 42.3% of November’s home sales.
