Infill growth in the sister submarkets to the region’s primary markets is the noteworthy metric that showed up in the first quarter housing report. Bluff City and Blountville are noteworthy. Rogersville led the sales growth in the 11W corridor. Most of the submarkets in the Johnson City region grew while Johnson City sales declined when compared to last year.
Erwin led the region in Q1 price appreciation. Mooresburg was statistically second, but the growth was an outlier. Piney Flats, Gray, and Jonesborough continued as the markets with the most expensive Q1 median home prices.
