September’s home sales saw a 10% increase between the number reported at the first of the month and the mid-month report. The median price also increases.
The most current count for last month is 705 sales, up 10% from last year.
The median sales price increased to $295,000, up 2.8% from last year.
There’s always an increase in the numbers from the first first week of the month report. It’s determined by the number of sales that are not in the system for the early count.
Kingsport led the region in sales last month, closely followed by Johnson City.
Piney Flats had the higher median sales price at $472,500.
