Tri-Cities housing inventory still lags pre-pandemic levels

During the pandemic housing boom the Tri-Cities was a hotbed of new residents, investors – both local and out-of-state – and local buyers. They snapped up what was already a declining housing stock and pushed the region into a housing shortage that still exists.

Inventory is coming back. Areawide it’s the best we’ve seen since 2020, but it’s a long way from pre-pandemic levels and reaching balanced market conditions.
