Despite the buzz, the local median home sales price is not around $400,000. Here’s the sales and median sales price data from January. Some of the high prices in the community markets are skewed by luxury home sales. Piney Flats – for instance – had four sales. Two of those were in the $500,000 plus price range. There are some community markets that have increased in high-end sales that are not skewed and are approaching $400,000. But they are the minority of local markets – not the majority.
