The local housing market’s economic stress points look pretty good, according to CoreLogic’s latest report. December’s 30-days or more mortgage delinquency rate for the Kingsport-Bristol MSA was 4.9% It was 4.3% for the Johnson City MSA. That was a half-point decline in each of the Tri-Cities’ two metro areas when compared to December last year. The seriously delinquent rate (90 days or more) was 1.3% in both metro areas. It was unchanged from last year for the Johnson City area and down 0.3% in Kingsport-Bristol. The foreclosure rate for both areas was 0.3% and unchanged from December last year.
