The Morristown Metropolitan Statistical Area had the best year-over-year home price increases in East Tennessee, according to the Federal Housing Finance Administrations (FHFA) Q4 Home Price Index.
Here how the home price appreciation for the six MSAs in East looked in the year-over-year comparison:
Morristown MSA – up 10%
Johnson City MSA – up 8.5%.
Kingsport-Bristol’s MSA – up 7.8%.
Chattanooga MSA – up 6.7%
The Knoxville MSA – up 5.8% increase.
Cleveland MSA – up 5.6%
The index used for NE Tennessee is the all-transaction increase. It is not seasonally adjusted and includes sales price data and appraisal data for refinancing.
