In January it was cheaper to rent than buy in Tri-Cities counties

The Realtor.com Rent vs Buy Report compares median monthly costs of renting and
buying relative to median incomes.

Buying costs are calculated based on realtor.com county-level residential listing price
data for December 2018. Rental prices are sourced from the US Dept of Housing and
Urban Development (HUD) data for 2018 rental estimates 50th-percentiles. Household
incomes data comes from Nielsen Pop Facts Demographics 2018.

Rent 4% means is 4% cheaper to rent
